I got a shock when I was going thru some old achieve files and saw some old events that we have organised last year. I sent the pictures to my colleagues and they got a shock too when they see the "old" me (the event was organised in July 2008)
My boss was crazy enough to come out of his room last week to ask the sales dept to sign up for this event. Of coz we are not the professional and hence we are SUPPOSE to sign up for the Mini competition on Sat August 1st! So my boss started to name us, who should be the swimmer and who should cycle etc...as we need 3 colleagues for each relay-team, one needs to swim 200m, one needs to cycle 10km and one needs to run 2km!
I was totally not prepared for this and was planning to find a reason to escape. Then I remembered that I have applied for the NDP review 2009 which happens to be on the 1st August 2009 and hopefully I get the tickets so that I can tell boss that I cannot go.
Not only did he inform our dept, he actually send it to all dept heads and asked them to come up with one team in each dept and boss final statement was "Please spread the news amongst your colleagues and let’s be at the startline in force !!! ;-)" Haiz...Im stress
The weekend was truely a workout day for CK & myself.
On Sat, we rested almost the whole afternoon and went to Night Safari and we totally enjoyed the night there.
It was our first time visiting and we were so surprised with the number of tourists and locals. Everyone is so excited and tour guide will lead their team and everyone will follow and queue up to enter to catch the traim ride or to catch the performance. CK & I decided to catch the performance first and it was very entertaining.
After the performance, we took the traim ride and enjoyed every moment of the ride as the zoo keeper introduce us to all the animals in each area.
As the night is still young, we decided to take a walk to see the animals in a closer look. As the weather is pretty cooling, without realising the time, we have actually walked for more than one hour! (this could not have happen at all if im not wearing my slipper). I was feeling tried after the walk and CK decided to call it a night as he wanted to take the ride one more time if i was not looking very tried.
Then on Sunday morning, both of us woke up early just to WASH the car. In fact, we have been lazy and has not wash the car for a while. Usually, we would just drive to a nearby petrol station to wash the car. Hopefully we will maintain this as not only will we save some money, it is indeed a good workout for us too... :-)

Called Angie the other night.
She has got me worried as I have been trying to check with her that she is fine working in Hong Kong. 2 days ago, I have finally received her email but she told me that she feel like quitting her job and come back to SIN.
After contacting her that eveing, Angie shared with me that Home is still the best. I totally agree with her as I shared the same statement when I was studying in Australia back in year 2000. Life in overseas will never be the same as Home. For Angie, it will be even more difficult as her family is here in Singapore and she goes there to earn a living and for me, I was studying then and could enjoying every minute of my time there and do not need to worry much except to study well.
I just hope that she could handle the stress well and take good care of herself there.
The group has been waiting for this event for the longest time.
Don't know why this time round it is so hard to get every one to be available to go to her place to have a night of purely "ladies night" where we will gossip about anything under the moon and chat till 2am.
This BBQ session, also known as TCSS in our group (Talk Cock Sing Song) is a time where we asked all ex-colleagues who has left the "S" company to gather together under one roof to update the status of ourself and also a chance to gossip about others on that night.
Looking at the menu for this Fri, we know for sure we will have a great time eating and chatting thru out the whole night.

Let's see if Im lucky enough to get the tickets since every year alot of Singaprean are disappointed that they are unable to get the tickets to watch the NDP.

Got the Handphone on Tuesday after making a call to M1 to check regarding my voucher.
So, in the eve, I went down to Tampines Mall to get the handphone. Upon reaching and checking with the customer service, they have informed me that their Head Office has sent out the voucher to me since April but this is the 2nd year I have not receive their voucher. Does that mean that if I do not follow up on this, I will forget about it and forgo this voucher?!
So I took the Q number and waited for my turn and after waiting for about 20mins, their guy informed that that the Ultratouch is out of stock!!
Feeling a bit mad as while I was taking my Q number at the reception counter, they told me that they still have the handphone.
So the friendly staff immediately asked me if I want to reserve the handphone now and I can go and pick it up and within a min, the staff told me that Campass point and Parkway Parade still have the stock. So I told them to reserve the handphone at Parkway Parade instead. As I was about to leave my contacts details, the friendly staff told me if I want to enjoy the special price for this handphone, that eve was the last day for the offer and if I get it the following day, it will be SGD100 more expensive. Having not much of a choice, I told them I will go down immediately then to enjoy the special offer but on a condition that I do not need to take the Q number anymore and I just need to go and look for one of their staff directly who will assist me.
after making 2 trips, I finally got the Handphone!
The three of us used to be the best colleagues...joking around during office hours, talk dirty jokes and best of all, drinking buddies after office hours.Then last year, Belle has to quit her job to be a full time mum to take care of her daughter...lately she is trying to sell this Anion sanitary napkin which she explained that this product is good and it helps to prevent bacterial multiplication, eliminates odor and promotes comfort during menstrual period. Till now I have not buy from her yet but I know she has been trying to promote this and asking us to buy. I think I might consider to buy from her to try to support her since she is trying so hard to sell.
Intend to buy this handphone once I have the $500 voucher from M1 this month.
Saw this handphone while I was window shopping at Vivo on the weekend and check out this handphone at Samsung showroom.
CK seems to like this handphone and I also kinda like this handphone too.
So, once my voucher is available, I will go and grab this handphone and give to CK since his Samsung F480 is going to give up his life span soon.
What CK suggest is, if I like this Samsung s8300, then I can take the handphone and pass him nokia e71 to use. But I guess I would stick to my Nokia since I prefer Nokia phone than other brands.
CK got this handphone for me on the weekend.
I know this is not the latest handphone but ever since my Sony Ericsson G900 is not in good condition since end of last year, I have been using all my old handphones (like Nokia E65 & Nokia 6230!!!).
So, CK knows that I have been talking about this E71 for the longest time and he decided to buy it for me and make me happy. :-)
Finally!!! JZS and I have been talking about taking the flyer for MONTHS!
It's either the weather is not good, or we have planned for it and when the weekend arrive, either JZS & Partner are not available or CK & I will be busy.
So, last wed, JZS's partner has sort of hint to me that we should spend our weekend together and take the flyer and all of us finally make it and took the Singapore Flyer. The timing was just right. We took the flyer at around 6.30pm and manage to catch the sunset and JZS's partner took alot of pictures.
