It has come to my attention that the chinese 7th month is approaching.
Last friday, received a text message from Angie that her grandmum has passed away.
This was totally a surprised message as we were totally not aware that her grandmum was unwell and has been in hosptial for weeks. She has to rush back from Hong Kong on that day to Singapore.
Then on the same day, Lynn called to say that her colleagues's relative also passed away on the same day and she will have to attend 2 wake on the weekend.
Thinking this was bad enough to hear such news, I came to work this morning and just hours into a blue monday morning...I have received email from my HR personnel that two of my colleagues' mother-in-laws have passed away.
My heartfelt condolences to my friend & colleagues.

Chinese 7th Month
Smoke Healthy
I have heard about this E-Cigratte many months ago from Lynn's hubby and today, my colleague is actually selling it and was introducing to me.
This is good for smokers who has kids at home and still wanna have a bluff but scared the kids will become 2nd hand smoker and tends to walk away to one corner and smoke. This is also good for people who wants to quit smoking but finds it hard and this may be a good tool to start with.
Thinking of getting this for CK to try...

Mango Garden Bar
After much planning & waiting, the Bar will be open effective from this evening!
I was totally not prepared to open on the 3rd August but I was informed by the team that we have to start to sell on 3rd August as the front desk staff has already spread the news that we are selling beer from Mon, 3rd August/
It was very rush for me as I was just getting another quotation from another company last week and was looking at the pricing and deciding what beer to bring in and sell (to cater to the crowd). So, after looking thru, I have decided to bring in 3 types of beer to start selling first...
Last sat, all of us start to clean up the bar area at the garden side, remove the old "shine cafe" signboard, do up the lightings etc etc...all set and ready...
Tragedy @ OSIM Triathlon 2009
I was on Mecdicial Leave for the past 2 days last week and was advised by my doctor not to go and cycle for the Osim Triathlon, so, my MD replaced me and helped to cycle on my behalf.
Sad to say that when I was back to office today, I found out that my good close colleague, Sashi had a accidient!
Sashi lost control and jumped off her bike. Apparently she landed hard on her head and left hip. It seems that marshals and medical staff were at the scene rather quickly to assist her. Shortly after the incident she was taken to Changi General Hospital were a fracture of her upper left thigh-bone was diagnosed. In order not to jeopardize any damage to the nerves the doctors decided to operate the very day.
The operation went well and Sashi now calls a metal plate and srew in the bone her own. She now has 3 months MC to rest at home and she has to start her Therapy shortly after this. I wish her well and hope she will be back to work soon.
Then I also read on the paper that Deutsche Telekom Asia CEO die after Triathlon. At age 42, first time in OSIM Triathlon...pronounced deaf after failed attempts to restart his heart

Updates
Have been very busy lately and did not have the time to update at all.
Busy with -
* The Cafe: it has opened for a month now and after putting some effort to do some marketing, the biz is doing very well now. The only thing that is not ready is the bar which we are still pending for approval.
* Work: lately the work load is alot and I have a customer service who is not helping me much and even when I am on leave, I have to work from home to check my emails. In addition, our boss comes up with a campaign which resulted us to 'dig' our data and look for more customers and we must prove our result in 2 months time.
With the stress that I have...I have decided (finally) to take a break for a while so that I can 'charge my battery' to battle the upcoming events.

Family Outing/Gathering
I can see that CK family bond is very strong with the uncles & aunties.
All of them are so fun to be with and since the start of the cafe, the support from the family is great.
So, last evening, they have decided to organise a family gathering at the cafe itself. They are intedning to do a BBQ session on this Sat, inviting the whole family, including CK grandmum to join in the fun.
Im very much looking forward to this gathering. :-)

Food Tasting @ Mango Garden
As we are preparing to open the cafe today, we were treated to some of the food cooked by the chef!
The review was overall Good and all of us are all gear up to make this a success as we have a few more cafes on standby, waiting to open once this cafe is running smoothly.
