I have only 2 pictures taken on that night as I have put my camera in my car when Calvin came but I'm sure I'm going to miss this friend and hope she is hanging on well in Hong Kong.

Team Building Event

Instead of a nice Dinner & Dance for the company, the management decided to organise a team building event on 25th April 2009

Everyone was gear up for this event and upon arrival, the instructors has divided us into 4 teams. We then have our team building stations, followed by Flying Fox, which I totally enjoyed this station which some of my colleagues were so afraid and I could see tears rolling down on their cheeks.





After lunch, all of us were feeling very tired but the competition has not start yet.
We were suppose to have a competition of Sea Rafting. All of us thought this will be easy but the instructor told us that the idea of this activity is to build your own Raft!

We were given 6 grey poles, 4 big blue plastic containers, and ropes. With these given materials, each team is suppose to come up with their own idea and build their own raft and make sure that the raft float and puddle a short distance and pick up a float and puddle back. The team that finshed the task, come back and dismentle everything and put all the material back will be the winning team. The winning team will get $1000 Takashimaya vouchers and 2nd team will get $500 Takashimya Vouchers.

When the competition starts, one of my team member tells me to organise this and think how we can win. I immediately started to tie the poles and the girls started helping. Our team was very organised and we communicate, discuss and everyone immediately agreed on my idea and working on our raft. Surprisingly, my team finished building the raft which even our MD was surprised as he expected his team to be first. The insructors came and check our raft and make sure that everything is still intact when we lift up our raft and we completed our task FIRST!

After the team building, we headed to Oosh @ Dempsey for dinner and lucky draw and team event after dinner. I was very lucky on that day and I got the 2nd Prize for the lucky draw and got $300 Takashimaya voucher.

In the end, Im one of the big winner as I have in total $400 Takashimaya vouchers!!! :-)

Uniqlo - Japan no. 1 causal wear brand

A new brand coming to SIN. They will open their first outlet this coming Thurday (9th April 2009) at Tampiness 1 store and another outley at ION Orchard Store.

Looking at their website for more info, I find that their pricing seems to be quite reasonable for causal wear like polo shirts and jean and can go and check it out one of these days.

A new cinema screne other than Golden Village or Cathy Organisation.

Other than Leisure Park, Kallang, the new cineplax is located at the new shopping mall, Iluma at Bugis.
